Brian Moore

Brian Moore is the former English rugby union player and current presenter for the BBC. He began his career as a City solicitor.

Brian Moore won 64 caps for England and played for Harlequins, Nottingham, Leeds and Richmond. He also represented England and the British and Irish Lions at international level. He was known for his agressive playing style which earned him the nickname "Pitbull" and in 1991 was voted Rugby World Player of the Year.

Brian aside from commentating for the BBC on rugby writes as a columnist for the Sun and the Daily Telegraph. He is best known on television for his very open and honest assessments of the play on the field;  in 2008 he was heard to yell, "They've kicked it away again, for God's sake!" when England were refusing to run with the ball in Rome, and shouted "You halfwit!" at an England forward who played a French re-start that had not gone the required ten metres, which caused England to lose possession where they would otherwise have been awarded a scrum.
